Hi Northstar team,

Yes, actually. How do I invite my designer to the project?

We’re setting up our first launch and I’d love to get everyone in one place.

Thanks,
Maya

Your domain. Your conversations.

Make it easy
to reach a real team.

A launch announcement can start a conversation. So can a welcome email or a simple question from a customer.

Every workspace gets a ready-to-use address at inbound.utobo.com, so you can start receiving right away. When you want branded receiving, enable it for a verified domain — a catch-all inbox collects mail sent to any address, without setting up a separate mailbox for each one.

A little more human

Let a reply change
what happens next.

Your customer has already answered. Your sequence should make room for that conversation.

With receiving configured, a reply to a sequence stops the remaining sequence emails for that contact.

Open the Receiving inbox to understand what they need and decide how your team should respond.

From setup to your first reply

A clear path into your inbox.

Your workspace already has a ready-to-use address at inbound.utobo.com, so you can start receiving with no DNS setup. To receive on your own branded domain instead, follow these three steps.

01

Verify your domain.

Add your domain in utobo and complete the records shown in your dashboard.

02

Enable receiving.

Follow the receiving setup and add the MX record at your DNS provider.

Good questions

Before you turn on receiving.

Do I need my own domain?

No. Every workspace gets a ready-to-use address at inbound.utobo.com, so you can receive without any DNS setup. To receive on your own branded domain, verify it in utobo and add the MX record shown in your dashboard.

Where do incoming messages appear?

In your organization’s Receiving inbox in utobo.

Can I receive mail at different addresses on the domain?

Catch-all receiving collects messages sent to different addresses on the enabled domain in your organization’s inbox.

Will a reply stop an automated sequence?

With receiving configured, a reply to a sequence stops its remaining emails for that contact. Test reply handling before relying on it in a live sequence.

How should my team handle a reply?

Read the message in your organization’s Receiving inbox, then decide how to continue the conversation through your team’s usual email or support process.

What if another service already handles my domain’s email?

Changing MX records changes where incoming mail is routed. Review the current configuration with whoever manages your domain and follow utobo’s receiving guide before making a change.
